chronique dominicale N° 34 Christine Porteneuve la calebasse

La calebasse Christine Porteneuve 2009 The gourd La calabaza

Christine Porteneuve participated several years in our workshop then she has of to stop the hard work of the stone. She realized several sculptures in a very personal style. The gourd was realized on the occasion of the biennial event with the artists of Burkina Faso in 2009. She calls bac an everyday object in Africa but her originality is that it sends back the sunlight thanks to a broken mirror evoking its essential role in the life on earth. She comes in echo to the sundial and to the quite close sculptures which play with the spring water of the garden of sculpture.
On the walk of the stone which is marked out by 13 borders of granite, Christine also sculptured an original marking out a beetle and on the other face one oak-leaf with an glans.
We regret all that she was not able to continue with us Marc la Tour's adventure.

Serge Veyssière's sculpture is for its very discreet image. She fitted particularly well into the site of the garden of sculpture of five continents. Realized in 2009 during the biennial event with the artists of Burkina Faso, she evokes an African mask submerged by the spring water....
In the garden of sculpture, this year there, we associated the water, this precious good, which is lacking in the South and can be soon for the North. The African mask is integrated into a restraint of water which overflows in autumn, in winter and in the spring to dry up in summer.
Serge learnt the sculpture in Marc la Tour's workshop, since he realized in the nearby municipalities of Saint Bonnet Avalouze and Espagnac several sculptures which we notice by their meticulousness.

chronique dominicale N° 25 Alexandra Rusetskaya Russie

La feuille de bouleau Alexandra RUSETSKAYA The leaf of birch

chronique dominicale N° 26 Jean Pierre Haulot France

Le marcheur Jean Pierre Haulot 2007 The walker

Jean Pierre Haulot creates in 2007 his first sculpture of average size. The theme is the journey it chooses the means of communication the best adapted to our hiking trails: the walking.
The shape of the block of granite imposes him a rangy figure. The walker seems exhausted following the most difficult ascent of the walk of the stone.....
Already in this first work we perceive what is going to be the style of the future sculptor: knowledge of the anatomy, the search for the detail and the precision in the execution. In the course of biennial events since 2007 the control of the granite is again going to assert itself, we shall talk again of it....

chronique dominicale N° 32 Patrice Bellin France

 N+45  Patrice Bellin  2005

Doubtless the most unusual and the most enigmatic sculpture of the walk of the stone. N+45 enters dialogue with the village square. She(it) situated on both(all) sides by the wall of the court(yard) of the school in two equal parts(parties) of two stones burst into three pieces then restuck.
On stones and on wall of the school appear letters which(who) evokes Palestine. Indeed the artist of return of a symposium in Palestine had seen the wall building itself cutting the country both.
It is these current events which we find in its dialogue with Marc la Tour's square in August, 2005.Patrice Bellin is an artist Inhabitant of Clermont who travels the world, One of its most significant works was realized in Egypt where he burst in the same way an enormous block of more than 100 tons for the ré to assemble differently .Dans the Nile valley he drew on the cliff a straight line evoking a floods. Thanks to him we got acquainted with the artists Burkinabe in 2009.

Chronique dominicale N° 31 Jacques Tramont France

L'ouvrier du rail  Jacques Tramont 2007 The worker of the rail

The worker of the rail is installed in the said place "the wooden city" where lived the workers who built the tunnel of the railroad Tulle-Argentat at the very beginning of the XXth century. This sculpture pays tribute in their hard labour. The railroad was abandoned in 1970 leaving uncultivated these remarkable stony works. We installed several sculptures on the occasion of the biennial event there of 2007 the theme of which was the journey. A stopping-off place since the Roman period is also which allowed to connect the valley of the Dordogne and the valley of the Corrèze.
The man who carries on are backs the keystone of the tunnel takes here all its sense .... an opportunity to go to meet him/her on the walk of the stone to Marc La Tour, he waits for you patiently.
