Sculptor Alex Labejof will be present from July 16 to August 31, 2022 at the sculpture residence of Marc la Tour.
We have known Alex for more than 10 years. We met in Burkina Faso on the semi-desert site of Laongo. He has responded to numerous public commissions and has participated in various symposia around the world where he made monumental sculptures . Alex combines the work of stone and metal. Over the years he has been able to develop a personal language in which he does not hesitate to pierce the stone to make the light penetrate it . The metal he skillfully creates reinforces this interplay of light and shadow.
His choice in the new theme that we propose "the Garden of Eden" is to evoke in its materials "the fruits of my passion"!
The granite work that can evoke a human figure extends into branches and seems pierced by metal . It will be able to rise to about 3 meters and will become an entrance signal of the sculpture garden with that of the Finnish artist Jaana Bombin.
A beautiful work and good moments in perspective with this globe trotter of sculpture that has made its way into the world that it always travels with as much passion.

From July 16 to August 7, 2022 we will welcome Finnish artist Jaana Bombin to Marc La Tour.
His project "embroidered" is part of the new theme of the "Garden of Eden" that we will cultivate for several years like the first two approaches "dialogue with the village" and "dialogue with the cultures of the world". If granite remains the material of choice in the sculpted village, the new approach is to combine other sustainable materials or in connection with nature.
Jaana Bombin’s work combines granite, ceramic and a red flower bed. The ceramic beads "embroidered" on the woman’s body evoke a tree of life that foreshadows the future Garden of Eden.
This proposal that will be installed at the entrance of the hollow path that will lead to the sculpture garden will be with the work of Alex Labejof  "the fruits of my passion" the signal of entry to the garden of sculptures .
