La biennale 2011 restera pour nous une leçon de sculpture avec les trois artistes chinois.Le granite gris fourni par la carrière Faucher est particulièrement dur.Chaque artiste nous a transmis un dessin dans l'espace très précis . Yong va s'adapter à la pierre .Il alterne sur son personnage une facture rugueuse et un polissage très personnel.
Son personnage présente un visage géométrisé et sur dimensionné peut être l'homme du futur.Il nous invite à nous retourner sur les événements du passé sans doute pour mieux vivre l'avenir. La sculpture est posée sur une pierre où l'on peut s'asseoir pour méditer....
Zhao Yong le plus jeune des sculpteurs chinois est diplômé de l'école des Beaux Arts de Pékin, sa démarche contemporaine qu'il conçoit avec tout type de matériaux est déjà impressionnante par sa diversité. Il manie également les arts du feu dans la tradition chinoise. Que de bons moments nous avons passé avec les artistes chinois et notre atelier a beaucoup appris à leur contact.
