Romain Nikiema habite avec sa famille une cour du quartier de Kamsonghin dans le centre de Ouagadougou pas très loin de la cathédrale et du Palais du MoroNaba, le chef des Mossi.

Dans le quartier il est connu et apprécié par tous . On se retrouve "le saint", c'est ainsi qu'on le surnomme, dans la journée au bar La Croisette pour boire une brakina et manger mouton ou merguez avec les amis. Le dimanche on va danser à New Réjouissance avec les copains.

Plus sérieusement, Romain sculpte le bois, la pierre, le bronze . Il a été invité en Chine, au Canada et plusieurs fois en France . Nous l'avons accueilli en 2009 et pour un stage de bronze. Nous nous sommes retrouvés pour sculpter avec notre atelier à deux reprises sur le site de Laongo. Il a réalisé également les marionnettes de nos amis français du Théatre Illusia.

Sa sculpture à Marc la Tour est installée dans le jardin des 5 continents .On y voit deux visages qui sortent de la pierre dans une forme arrondie qui pourrait rappeler un instrument de musique et évoquer l'échange ou la rencontre.

Romain Nikiema lives with his family in a court of the district of Kamsonghin in the center of Ouagadougou not very far from the cathedral and far from the Palace of MoroNaba, leader of the Mossi.

En el barrio es conocido y apreciado por ellos todos. Nos encontramos "al santo ", así es como lo apodamos, durante la jornada al bar Croisette para beber un brakina y comer carnero o salchicha picante con los amigos. El domingo vamos a bailar en New Réjouissance con los amigos.

Más seriamente, Romano esculpe madera, la piedra, el bronce. Ha sido invitado en China, en Canadá y muchas veces en Francia. Lo acogimos en 2009 y para un período de prácticas de bronce. Nos encontramos para esculpir con nuestro taller dos veces sobre el sitio de Laongo. También realizó las marionetas de nuestros amigos franceses del Théatre Illusia.

Su escultura a Marc la Tour está instalada en el jardín de los 5 continentes .On ve allí dos caras que salen de piedra en una forma redondeada que podría recordar un instrumento de música y evocar el intercambio o el encuentro.

Sylvain Yerbanga est venu à Marc la Tour en 2009 année où nous avons accueilli cinq sculptrices et sculpteurs du Burkina Faso "le pays des hommes intègres" à l'occasion de la Biennale Internationale de la pierre.

Sylvain sculpture le bois, la pierre et le bronze techniques qu'il a apprises dans son pays et au Centre National d'artisanat d'art de Ouagadougou.Il associe parfois avec grand bonheur le bois et le bronze pour magnifier la figure humaine .C'est le sculpteur français Patrice Bellin qui a pris contact avec lui avant que nous les invitions en France lors du symposium de Laongo auquel il participait;

Il a également animé un stage de bronze à Marc la Tour .

Depuis il s'est installé à Paris où nous le rencontrons de temps en temps avec sa petite famille.

La sculpture qu'il a réalisé à Marc la Tour nous interpelle. Un visage du Sud et tourné vers le Nord et un visage du Nord est tourné vers le Sud . Est-ce une évocation de son parcours personnel ou plus largement par delà les Etats le nécessaire rapprochement des peuples du Nord et du Sud ? Cela reste une belle sculpture.

Sylvain Yerbanga came to Marc la Tour in 2009 year when we welcomed five sculptrices and sculptors of Burkina Faso " the country of the honorable men " on the occasion of the International Biennial event of the stone.

Sylvain sculpture the technical wood, the stone and the bronze that he taught in his country and the National Center of arts and crafts of Ouagadougou. He sometimes associates with big happiness the wood and the bronze to glorify the human face .C' is the French sculptor Patrice Bellin who got in touch with him before we invited them in France during the symposium of Laongo in which he participated;

He also livened up a bronze internship to Marc la Tour.

Since he settled down in Paris where we meet him(it) from time to time with the small family.

The sculpture that he realized to Marc la Tour calls out to us. A face of the South and turned northward and a face of the sour northeast southward. Is it an evocation of its personal route or more widely more States the necessary link of the peoples of the North and the South? It remains a beautiful sculpture.


Le vin de Silvano Yerbanga  en Marc le Tour  en 2009  cuando acogimos cinco  escultores du Burkina Faso " el pais  de los hombres integros" por  la bienal Internacional  de la piedra .

Silvano escultura madera, piedra la y el bronce técnicos que aprendio en su pais y en el Centro Nacional de artes de Ouagadougou. Asocia unas veces con gran felicidad  madera y el bronce  para magnificar la figura  humana . Es el escultor francés Patrice Bellin que entro en contacto  los  invitemos en Francia despues del simposio de Laongo en el cual participaba;

Después se installo en Paris donde le encontramos de cuando en cuando con su familia.

Escultura la que realizo en Marc la Tour os interpela. Una Cara del Sur  torneada hacia el norte y Una Cara del Norte es girada  hacia el sur. ¿ Es Una evocacion de su trayecto  personnel o más ampliamente de los Estados  de los pueblos del Norte y del Sur ? Esto queda Una bella escultura.

Sumay  BOLY  fait partie d'une grande famille d'artistes de Ouagadougou les BOLY avec leur chef de file Sambo, mais aussi Hamoudou, Kader qui vit USA,Moussa,
C'est là quelle s'est formée.
Depuis peu elle s'est  installée à New York où elle commercialise de ses bijoux. sa sœur est restée au Centre National d'Artisanat d'Art de Ougadougou où elle tient la boutique avec les frères Boly.
En 2009 nous l'avons invitée à Marc la Tour après qu'elle eut participé au symposium international de sculpture de Laongo. Elle a rapidement montré son aptitude  à la sculpture et à la peinture mais elle a fort opportunément choisi sa voie dans la création de bijoux qu'elle a pu présenter en France , en Suisse mais également au USA.Elle a animé à Tulle plusieurs stages .
Sa sculpture à Marc la Tour nous lance un message pour combattre l'excision une pratique interdite qui ronge encore de nombreux états africains.Sa lutte est à l'image de sa personnalité attachante qui n'hésite pas affirmer la place de la femme dans la société.

Sumay is a member of an artists' big family of Ouagadougou the BOLY with their leader Sambo, butHamoudou,Moussa,Kader, who lives the USA,It is there which formed.

Recently she settled down in New York where she(markets of her jewels. Her sister stayed in the National Center of Arts and crafts of Ougadougou where she holds the shop with the brothers Boly.
In 2009 we invited her to Marc la Tour after she(it) had participated in the international symposium of sculpture of Laongo. She quickly showed her capacity in the sculpture and in the paint but she very conveniently chose her way in the creation of jewels which she was able to present in France, in Switzerland but also in the USA.Elle livened up in Tulle several internships.Her sculpture to Marc la Tour throws us a message to fight the excision a forbidden practice which still eats away at numerous African states. Her fight is just like her charming personality who does not hesitate to assert the place of the woman in the society.


Sumay forma parte de una gran familia de artistas de Ouagadougou el BOLY con su dirigente Sambo, pero también Hamoudou,Moussa, Kader que vive USA, 

Es allí cual se formó con su familia.

Desde hace poco se instaló en Nueva York dónde comercializa de sus joyas. Su hermana se quedó en el Centro Nacional de Artes industriales de Ougadougou donde tiene la tienda con hermano Boly.

En 2009 se la invitamos a Marc la Tour después de que hubiera participado en el simposio internacional de escultura de Laongo. Mostró rápidamente su aptitud a la escultura y a la pintura pero escogió muy oportunamente su vía en la creación de joyas que pudo presentar en Francia, en Suiza pero igual en el USA.Elle animó  a Tulle varios períodos de prácticas.
Su escultura a Marc la Tour nos lanza un mensaje para combatir la excisión una práctica prohibida que todavía roe numerosos estados africanos. Su lucha está en la imagen de su personalidad atractiva que no vacila en afirmar le plaza de la mujer en la sociedad.

Faustin Tougma ici en teeshirt rouge en compagnie de ses amis burkinabé à Marc la Tour en août 2009. Le sculpteur français Patrice Bellin nous a recommandé ces sculpteurs burkinabé qu'il a rencontrés lors du symposium de sculpture de Laongo au Burkina Faso et il a eu raison !

Faustin Tougma a sculpté le bois et le bronze au Centre National d'Artisanat d'Art de Ougadougou avant de travailler la pierre. Il a participé à divers symposium dans le monde . Il est maintenant installé a Cergy Pontoise où il vit avec sa famille franco burkinabé.

Sa sculpture à Marc la Tour est un hommage à l'eau ce bien précieux au Nord comme au Sud. Mi humaine mi végétale elle recueille l'eau de pluie dans un mince sillon.

Nous gardons le souvenir de sa créativité et sa dextérité mais également de sa capacité à diffuser une ambiance chaleureuse autour de lui.

Faustin Tougma here there teeshirt red together with his friends Burkinabe to Marc la Tour in August, 2009. The French sculptor Patrice Bellin recommended us these sculptors Burkinabe whom he met during the symposium of sculpture of Laongo in Burkina Faso and he was right!

Faustin Tougma sculptured the wood and the bronze in the National Center of Arts and crafts of Ougadougou before working the stone. He participated in diverse symposium in the world. He is now installed has Cergy Pontoise where he lives with his French family Burkinabe.
