Le sculpteur Ukrainien Michael Levchenko sera à Marc la Tour du 16 juillet au 7 août 2022 à l'occasion de la XIème biennale de sculpture.
L'artiste est actuellement réfugié au Luxembourg suite à une blessure à un pied.
Michael Levchenko est un sculpteur, peintre et directeur artistique dont les œuvres publiques et privées se retrouvent dans divers pays du monde. Il a participé au Pavillon Ukrainien de la 58 ème biennale de Venise en 2019.
Informé par un sculpteur chinois de sa présence au Luxembourg nous avons pris contact avec lui et lancé une souscription qui nous a permis de l'inviter en résidence à Marc La Tour . Il participe actuellement à un résidence de sculpture sur bois au Luxembourg avant de rejoindre Marc la Tour.
Il travaillera un bloc de granite sur le thème du jardin d'Eden avec la sculptrice finlandaise Jaana Bombin et le sculpteur Français Alex Labejof.
Nous attendons avec impatience son projet, nul doute qu'il évoquera également la situation de son pays agressé actuellement par l'armée Russe.

The Ukrainian sculptor Michael Levchenko will be in Marc la Tour from July 16 to August 7, 2022 for the 11th sculpture biennial.
The artist is currently a refugee in Luxembourg following a foot injury.
Michael Levchenko is a sculptor, painter and art director whose public and private works are found in various countries of the world. He participated in the Ukrainian Pavilion of the 58th Venice Biennale in 2019.
Informed by a Chinese sculptor of his presence in Luxembourg we contacted him and launched a subscription that allowed us to invite him in residence to Marc La Tour . He is currently participating in a woodcarving residence in Luxembourg before joining Marc la Tour.
He will work on a granite block on the theme of the Garden of Eden with the Finnish sculptor Jaana Bombin and the French sculptor Alex Labejof.
We look forward to his project, no doubt that he will also mention the situation of his country currently attacked by the Russian army.
